Puppy Love Wins the McDonald’s Lovin’ Video Competition
This weekend I had the honor of traveling to the American Black Film Festival in New York City as a Top 3 Finalist in the McDonald’s Lovin’ Video Competition. To describe this experience as amazing really doesn’t do it justice, but its something that I will always remember.
Allow me to explain. Upon arriving I am greeting by the wonderful ABFF staff who give me a list of programs and networking events to attend. I met tons of interesting people, including having a mentorship luncheon with Film Director Malcolm D. Lee, and my film “Puppy Love” screened in downtown Manhattan at the AMC Empire 25. The comedy show was hilarious and HBO Short Film Competition was full of great projects, and it was great to share a space with so many talented and like-minded individuals.
The icing on the cake was the awards ceremony, where my short film, “Puppy Love” Won the McDonald’s Lovin’ Video Competition. It’s an indescribable feeling having this project played in its entirety during the ceremony. The responses were amazing and I can’t wait to release my next project so we can do it all again.
Lastly, I’ve linked the short film above for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
